Black Sea Basin CBC Programme 2014-2020 Approved by the European Commission
On 18 December 2015, the European Commission approved the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 by decision no. C(2015) 9187.
The 10th meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) of the Black Sea Joint Operational Programme 2007-2013 was held in Burgas, Bulgaria on the 29th of September 2015.
The Black Sea Basin ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 has been submitted to the EU Commission for approval. The overall aim of this EU programme is to improve the welfare of the people in the Black Sea Basin regions through sustainable growth and joint environmental protection. More specifically, the programme offers funding support in two main thematic objectives and four priorities:
The final version of the ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 has been approved by the Joint Programming Committee, the decision-making body composed by representatives of all the participating countries.
The document has been prepared with the support of experts from the SPP project (Support to the preparation of programmes).Contributions from national, regional and local authorities, intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations, international financing institutions, academia, social partners and civil society organisations, citizens interested in the future programme are expected. The ninth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Joint Operational Programme “Black Sea Basin 2007 – 2013” was held in Tulcea, Romania, between 9th-10th of October 2014.
Following the entry into force of the Regulation (EU) N°236/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11th March 2014 laying down common rules and procedures for the implementation of the Union’s instruments for financing external action (CIR) and taking into consideration the European Commission note to the joint managing authorities of the ENPI CBC programmes, new eligibility rules have to be applied in all procedures to be launched at the latest as from 1st August 2014.
The fifth meeting of the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) for the future ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 was held on the 17th – 18th of July 2014, in Brussels, Belgium.
