As the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme has recently received an additional NDICI allocation of about 20 million Euros, the Programme has the opportunity to respond to the most pertinent challenges the Black Sea Basin region faces today.
While the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme has recently been approved by the European Commission, the managing structures prepared the revised draft of the Application Packs for the 1st call for proposals for both regular and small-scale projects, envisaged to be launched in the first part of 2023.
The 12th Newsletter is bringing you up to date news about both ongoing Black Sea Basin programmes: ENI CBC and Interreg VI-B NEXT. Both programmes are progressing, and while the ENI CBC is delivering more and more results, Interreg VI-B NEXT was officially approved by the European Commission on 13th of December 2022.
The seventh meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee for ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 was virtually held on the 14th of December 2022.
We happily announce that, on 13 December 2022, the European Commission approved the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme by implementing decision C(2022)9608.
All the projects contracted after both calls for proposals are now in a single material.
On the European Year of Youth (2022), we want to put young people's projects in the spotlight.

Open call for projects promoting a sustainable blue economy in the Black Sea
UPDATE - 8 December 2022
Thank you all for your engagement in the public consultations and for the valuable contributions which will entail the improvement of the Application Pack for the 1st call for project proposals.
We are aware that the novelties contained in the new EU legal framework for the 2021-2027 period, applicable to all Interreg programmes and reflected accordingly in our Programme documents, may be challenging both for you, as potential beneficiaries of the Interreg NEXT BSB Programme and for us, as management structures. For an efficient and timely implementation of the Programme and projects, it is important to find the best approaches on how to tackle these challenges in our joint activity.
The revised version of the Application pack will try to reflect both the needs of the Black Sea Basin community and the innovative approaches for a sound financial management of Programme and projects.
Please keep an eye on the website for news regarding the approval of the Programme and the launch of the 1st call for proposals.
