As part of the programming process for the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027, a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) screening procedure – based on the Directive 2001/42/EC on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment – has been carried out to contribute to the integration of environmental considerations into the preparation of the programme and to assess its environmental effects.
In order to facilitate the proper implementation of procurement procedures in case of lower value contracts (up to 20 000 euro), considering that contracts of lower value are often encountered under the ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020, the Managing Authority issued a Note for Beneficiaries required to use PRAG in public procurements, reminding the rules for lower value contracts in projects financed under the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020.
The Managing Authority and the representatives of the participating countries, with the support of TESIM experts, further developed the draft version of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027.
The programme overall performance in 2021demonstrates that Black Sea Basin has remained a steadfast and reliable network in the region. What is more, the programme managed to deliver on its objectives despite the challenges that arose in the unique context of global pandemic.
The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and TESIM are organising this special event tomorrow, 15 December 2021, to inform the AEBR members and various stakeholders in border regions about the new generation of Neighbourhood cross-border cooperation programmes, Interreg NEXT.
