Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Programme 2007-2013

“From ENPI CBC to ENI CBC – Lesson Learned and Future Opportunities in the Black Sea Basin”
Around 200 participants participated at the Annual Conference of the Joint Operational Programme “Black Sea Basin 2007-2013” held in Istanbul, Turkey, on the 5th of December 2013.
The conference was organized by the Joint Managing Authority (the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration, Romania) in co-operation with the Turkish National Authority (Ministry for EU Affairs), with the support of European Commission through ENI CBC – Support to the preparation of programmes (SPP) and the National Authorities from Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine.
The conference gathered representatives of national, regional and local authorities, non-Governmental Organisations, researchers and academics, as well as representatives of the European Commission and other stakeholders active in the Black Sea Basin area.
Representatives from Azerbaijan were also present at the Conference as being potential participants to the future Programme.
In the first half, the conference focused on the added value of the Programme for the participating countries, practical implementation issues and programme management, and lessons learned from the current programming period.
The second part was dedicated to the Black Sea Basin ENI CBC programme 2014-2020. Experts of ENI CBC – Support to the preparation of programmes (SPP), with the support of the JMA and of the Turkish National Authority (Ministry for EU Affairs) conducted an interregional consultation on the SWOT analysis of the programme area and proposed Thematic Objectives and priorities.
The Joint Managing Authority would like to thank all participants for their contribution to the success of the conference and is looking forward to seeing them at the future events of the Programme.
