The Managing Authority, together with the Joint Technical Secretariat, organized on 4-5 June, 2024, in Constanța, the last meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee and the closing conference of the ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020.
The events brought together the management and control structures of the Programme, from all 8 participating states, representatives of the European Commission, Audit Authority, TESIM project and beneficiaries, the main purpose being to discuss, in an extended format, Programme achievements and challenges. The authorities responsible for managing the Programme highlighted its significant results and talked about the challenges encountered, the main ones being the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's aggression against Ukraine, as well as about the measures adopted to complete the implementation of projects.
Programme 8 years of implementation totaled 548 submitted applications, 2,339 applicants, 57 financed projects, with a total value of 48.8 million EURO, 281 beneficiaries and 34 small-scale investments in the cultural and creative infrastructure, infrastructure related to the tourism sector and ports, or in the infrastructure dedicated to the protection and monitoring of the environment. The European Commission emphasized the need to continue, in the coming period, communication and ensuring the visibility of project results and success stories.
