On October 12-13, 2022, the Armenian beneficiaries of the project Copernicus assisted environmental monitoring across the Black Sea Basin-PONTOS (BSB889) jointly organized the PONTOS hackathon for teams from different academic institutions in Armenia.
The beneficiaries of the project Raising Public Awareness and Reducing Marine Litter for Protection of the Black Sea Ecosystem - LitOUTer (BSB785) are organising during 31 October-2 November 2022, an international symposium with the slogan “Common Sea, Common Solution”.
The rehabilitation work was a component of the project Green tourism and historical heritage – a stepping stone for the development of the Black Sea Basin, GreeTHIS (BSB305). A particular process has to be followed because the Preslav Street building is included in the National Institute for Cultural Monuments of Bulgaria's Register of Buildings of Architectural Value.
The beneficiaries of the project Promoting the Black Sea region as a wine tourism destination – TheSeaOfWine (BSB1034) prepared a whole Georgian experience in various wine routes, from cultural heritage and Qvevri wine to indigenous grape varieties, followed by delicious Georgian cuisine and breathtaking mountains, finished with relaxing beauty and spa treatments. For each route, you will find a short description, including start and end points, wineries to visit, recommendations for accommodation and other attractions in the area.
TAMApp is a mobile application developed within the project Cleaner Rivers - Cleaner Seas to reduce waste dumped into rivers that reach the sea. It is also a strategy to raise awareness among citizens on river pollution and their involvement in collaboration with Local Public Authorities.
The beneficiaries of the project Development of Sustainable Cultural Tourism in the Black Sea Basin – CULTOUR-BSB (BSB117) are advancing five tourism routes to explore Georgia's history, tradition, culture and flavour.
The first two groups of volunteers in disaster management completed their local training sessions in Türkiye and Bulgaria. They are conducted in the frame of the project Cooperation for disaster prevention and environmental monitoring in BSB - Co-PREVENT (BSB802).
The approach to the designation of the country-level wine routes was both thematic and geographical.
Due to the different geographical and transportation networks of the eligible area in Greece and bearing in mind the aims of the project Promoting the Black Sea region as a wine tourism destination, 13 thematic wine routes were developed (including 60 wineries).
The beneficiaries of the project Development of Sustainable Cultural Tourism in the Black Sea Basin – CULTOUR-BSB (BSB117) are advancing 5 tourism routes in Bulgaria to discover the history, the architecture, the culture, the nature, the Black Sea shore.
