According to archaeological evidence, the first Georgian wines were made and stored in earthenware vessels called Qvevri. The word Qvevri comes from kveuri, „something dug deep in the ground“, as a Georgian winemaking tradition finding its origins deep in rich culture, mythology and folklore.
The route starts in the most famous winemaking region Kakheti, where you’ll find highly rated, award-winning organic wines with rich aromas and tannins. Enjoy cellar tours to discover how the wine-making process unfolds, from grape to glass.
Wine Route No2 - Wine and Spa
Enjoy the experience of a wide variety of spa treatments, including a bath in Saperavi wine to feel the magic power of wine on your body. Wineries offer exclusive beauty, moisturising, antioxidant products, and anti-ageing softening oil made of 100% bio grapes, making your skin tender and elastic.
