Closure of the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2007-2013

The European Commission informed on 26th of July 2021 that all operations related to the closure of the ENPI CBC Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2007-2013 – including acceptance of the final implementation report – have been carried out and that the Programme is officially closed.

The Programme successfully financed 59 projects implemented in the areas of social and economic development, environmental protection and conservation, culture and education, with a total disbursement from ENPI funds of 22,081,967.38 euro.

A number of 353 entities were involved, from all the 8 countries participating within the Programme (Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine), proving a high interest to pursue cooperation and contributing to the development of sustainable partnerships, thus achieving its wider objective to create stronger regional partnerships and cooperation.

Nevertheless, project beneficiaries and partners are kindly reminded that their involvement might still be needed in the following period (open-to-control period of 7 years after payment of final balance for the project), should the European Commission or Joint Managing Authority needs access to project documents or sites.

The Joint Managing Authority would like to thank all the project beneficiaries and partners, as well all the Programme authorities in the participating countries for the contribution to the successful implementation of the 2007-2013 Black Sea Basin Programme.
