The Ecotourist boat is ready and anchored in Burgas port from Bulgaria.
It is a glass-plastic boat with declined forward stem, transom stern, and open main deck to accommodate 24 passengers (tourists), wheelhouse, and Engine compartment aft. In-situ water samples equipment is installed and the first environmental data will be generated once the boat starts sailing on the tourist routes. The sensor from the equipment will provide data for dissolved oxygen/temperature, turbidity, chlorophyll, crude oil, and Blue/ green alga every 30 sec. once the boat is underway.
The eco-friendly tourist boat will travel to the newly created tourist routes emphasizing cultural heritage, Burgas – Pomorie – Nesebar, and Burgas – St.Ivan – Sozopol. These new routes were introduced by the Bulgarian project partner, Sport Fishing Club “Glarus”, from the project Sailing across the Black Sea, and starting with this summer there is a new product developed jointly to promote tourism across the Black Sea.
Information regarding the routes and the tourist guides are available on the project website: https://www.sabsproject.com/tourist-routes.
The first sailing trip in scheduled for the last week from June 2021.
