Solid waste management has become a major concern both to the natural environment and society. While the focus to solve this problem starts with the urban areas where the volume of solid waste generated is massive, the project Anti-Littering Partnership for Green Rural Areas – APRA aims to introduce modern practice of waste management in rural communities from Georgia and Armenia.

Shelf waters, coastal and deltaic areas being extensively and intensively used are likely the most vulnerable zones within the Black Sea Basin (BSB), where anthropogenic activities coupled with global climate change, dramatically impact the natural habitats, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
The Virtual Guide for Historic Black Sea Cross Border Sites and Heritage Assets has the goal to raise awareness about the necessity for the preservation of cultural and natural heritage. This is an interactive tool that will allow visitors locating sites and assets on the map, have a virtual tour in those locations and also discover their history and learn other interesting information.
The project Developing Ecotourism Net in Black Sea region ECOTOUR-NET (BSB79) is proposing to develop eco-tourism activities in 5 regions from Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Georgia and Bulgaria introducing 18 routes (10 cycling, 6 hiking, 2 educational tour routes) and 48 locations (4 bird watching and 32 recreational location, 10 photobank and 2 local products selling locations).
The project Piloting Modern Trading Opportunities in Agriculture through Creation of the Innovative Online Platform – AgroNet was implemented during June 2018 – December 2020. The project was leaded by Georgian Institute of Public Affairs Georgia and with the involvement of the project partners Elva Community Engagement from Georgia, Varna Economic Development Agency from Bulgaria and SMART Development Center from Romania the intended results are achieved and are used by the target group.
Green Balkans together with Community Centre “Prosveta-1888”, Pomorie organizes a contest for children’s drawings “I protect biodiversity from pollution”, with an emphasis on Pomorie Lake and other wetlands in the Burgas region – lakes, swamps. The contest is organized in the framework of the project “Eco-Conscious Minds to Stop Pollution in the Valuable Wetlands of Black Sea Basin”, BSB142 BioLearn.
