During the implementation period, one of the main activities of the project Zero Waste Strategy for Good Environmental Status – ZEWSGES (BSB257) was Collecting marine litter and data.

In total, the project partners from Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Georgia implemented 28 Beach Clean-up campaigns and 10 Fishing for Litter campaigns, involving more than 1700 participants. In total, around 9 t of marine litter was collected and the data gathered was uploaded on the Marine Litter Watch.
