Three projects funded by ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme, namely: Promoting tea as the engine of growth for the Black Sea Basin Area (TeaWay), Piloting Modern Trading Opportunities in Agriculture through Creation of the Innovative Online Platform (AgroNet) and Increase Trading and Modernization of the Beekeeping and Connected Sectors in the Black Sea Basin (ITC BEE-BSB) were presented during the official celebration of the International Tourist Guide Day on February 21, 2020, in Varna, Bulgaria. The event was hosted by the Bulgarian Association of Tourist Guides with the support of the Varna Municipality.
Varna Economic Development Agency as a common beneficiary in the projects used the event’s audience of more than 100 representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Varna Municipality, specialized sectoral associations, wine producers, media and citizens to popularize the projects,
International Tourist Guide Day celebrated each year on February 21 aims to raise public awareness about the fact that tourists’ guides are cultural ambassadors of the regions they represent. This observance was established by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) and has been held since 1990.
