The Association for the Protection of Human being and the Environment for a Sustainable Development in the World – ECOM Constanta organized on 29 July 2020 in Constanta/Romania the launching conference for the project “Leave your Environmentalist Spirit Online for the Black Sea Basin”.
The general objective of the project is to increase awareness and knowledge of environmental issues in the Black Sea Basin by promoting joint awareness actions, by creating a model and a positive ecological behavior of young people and the wide expansion of this model.
The project is structured on four groups of activities proposed to be implemented during June 2020 – May 2022.
1) The first group of the research program will be represented by information activities and search for updated data, rigorously structured on the state of pollution of the Black Sea basin. The entire program area will be the subject of research. The team will also focus on defining an external area of the BSB with a polluting impact on the BSB, and the potential pollution risks in these areas.
2) The second group, respectively the second research will be about the current state of environmental education; the project will identify and define the educational model in schools in the three partner countries and will work on the development of innovative tools in the field of environmental education, having as main subject the protection of the Black Sea. The project will develop environmental education tools: a video game, especially for environmental education, but also an online platform to create an online spirit for the Black Sea.
3) The third group will develop the integrated training program “Young Environmentalists” designed to take place on three levels: classical education through lessons in lessons, education through play, use the digital phase of the game, then move to environmental education in context real in nature.
4) The fourth group, the environmental campaign program will include a one-year online campaign, entitled “10,000 online for the Black Sea” and will be organized through the platform. Each partner will organize 4 environmental events to celebrate International Black Sea Day, as well as a joint online petition action “Not only eight use the Black Sea”.
The project partnership has the following organizations involved: Association for the Protection of Human Being and Environment for a Sustainable Development in the World – ECOM Constanta, Romania (as Lead beneficiary); Sinop University and Chamber of Agriculture of Trabzon, Turkey together with International Center for Social Research and Policy Analysis in Tbilisi, Georgia.
