In Varna (Bulgaria) is in full swing the eight edition of Wine & Food Festival with 62 companies registered as exhibitors: 41 wine cellars, 7 food processing firms, 6 traders, 2 cooking equipment firms and many more, including the project Piloting Modern Trading Opportunities in Agriculture through Creation of the Innovative Online Platform. The project partner VEDA – Varna Economic Development Agency is there to present the on-line trading platform AGRODEALS.
AGRODEALS is an online multilingual agricultural trading platform that connects potential buyers and sellers, including distributors and processors. It aims to have a modern online space, where all information related to the trade of agricultural products are available free of charge in a consolidated space. The online platform enables business partners of agricultural products in the countries of the Black Sea region to connect with international buyers and receive important commercial information to support import and export processes.
The open air festival will last three days during which the visitors of the festival could enjoy wine tasting from Bulgarian wine cellars as well as local food products. The aim of the organizers of the festival – the Bulgarian Association of Sommeliers and Wine Connoisseurs, the Bulgarian Culinary Culture Association in partnership with the Municipality of Varna and the Ministry of Tourism, is to support the local economy during the COVID-19 pandemic by encouraging consumption of local and regional agricultural products.
