The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and TESIM are organising this special event tomorrow, 15 December 2021, to inform the AEBR members and various stakeholders in border regions about the new generation of Neighbourhood cross-border cooperation programmes, Interreg NEXT.
The event will deal with the recovery in the Eastern Partnership territories, and will be attended by representatives of DG REGIO, EEAS, the European Parliament, the European Committee of the Regions and others. After a more strategic session, the Managing Authorities of 5 ENI CBC programmes: Black Sea Basin; Romania – Republic of Moldova; Romania- Ukraine; Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine; Poland-Belarus-Ukraine, will animate the second part of the debate, which will be also attended by DG REGIO and AEBR representatives.
The core of the session will deal with the 2021-2027 programming period, trying to highlight which orientations have been provided by the European Commission to programming bodies concerning their future strategies, and which areas of intervention will programmes target with their efforts.

The European Union needs to show concrete results of its cooperation and development actions, and so does the ENI CBC community. At all times, communication activities should pursue the overall objective of increasing the knowledge of cross-border cooperation at the external borders of the EU and its position as a valuable, strategic tool for the EU and its neighbours.
DG Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) and The Joint Research Centre, in cooperation with DG Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), are organising the Workshop “Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Blue Economy” on 6 July 2021, at 09.00 – 12.45 CET.
The training sessions are organised by the programme management structures and are aiming to enhance capacity of beneficiaries to collect, consolidate and report the progress achieved by the projects.
