The fifth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee for ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme was held online on 11 December 2020.
The representatives of the eight partner states analyzed the status of projects implementation, as well as the financial resources currently available in the programme budget.
Up to now, 53 projects have been contracted with a total value of 42.5 million euro (ENI funds). Further, 2 more projects, with a total value around 2 million euro (ENI funds), are in the contracting phase. So far, the value of the payments reached 24.4 million euro (ENI funds).
Following the discussions during the meeting, it was agreed to contract a new project from the reserve list of applications selected after the second call for project proposals and whose budget falls within the amount currently available at the programme level.
Participants in the meeting also received information on the measures taken by the program management structures to facilitate the implementation of project activities, taking into account the restrictions in force in the programme countries.
The first meeting of the Joint Programming Committee – body responsible for the preparation of the Interreg NEXT (Neighbourhood External) Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 – was held on the 29th of January 2020 in Brussels, Belgium. The eligible participating countries of the new Programme involves ten states from the Black Sea Basin: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine.
