Focused on promoting environmentally friendly behavior, the project Innovative Joint Learning for Environmentally Friendly Behaviour of Communities in the Black Sea Basin – Lear4Sea, launched this summer a broad awareness campaign aimed at encouraging citizens to take active steps toward protecting nature and reducing pollution in the Black Sea Basin and surrounding regions.
The campaign seeks to educate and engage local communities through various activities that highlight the importance of sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. One of the key events in Georgia was a clean-up initiative that actively involved schoolchildren, fostering environmental responsibility from a young age. Through hands-on participation, these students gained a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing the region and the positive impact of collective action.
By involving youth and other community members, Lear4Sea project aims to build a culture of environmental awareness that extends beyond immediate clean-up efforts, inspiring long-term behavioral change and a stronger commitment to preserving the unique ecosystems of the Black Sea Basin.
