Healing Environmental by Reef Options in the Black Sea
The Black Sea region is facing serious environmental degradation caused by pollution, eutrophication, and marine litter, which threaten marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and sustainable development. The HERO project addresses these challenges through a cross-border, innovative approach combining clean-up operations, data collection and analysis, habitat restoration with artificial reefs, biotechnological water quality management, and awareness-raising to improve ecosystem health and promote responsible waste management.
