Ferrybox in the Black Sea
The Black Sea lacks effective, continuous, and cost-efficient monitoring because current methods (research vessels, satellites, and Argo floats) provide limited, intermittent, or obstructed data, leaving critical environmental changes undetected. The project deploys automated Ferrybox systems on ships-of-opportunity to enable continuous, real-time, and cost-effective water quality monitoring with advanced detection technologies and open-access data sharing.
