WatchReefFish

Non-Invasive Fish Monitoring Network for Reef Fishes in the Black Sea Basin

Reef ecosystems in the Black Sea Basin are increasingly threatened by human pressures and climate change, while significant knowledge gaps limit effective monitoring and conservation of reef fish biodiversity and ecosystem health. The project addresses these challenges by applying non-invasive monitoring methods to collect accurate and comprehensive data on reef fish populations, migration patterns, and ecosystem dynamics, thereby supporting improved assessment, management, and protection of reef ecosystems in the Black Sea.
