DINO-PATH

Borderless Dinosaur (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) of the Black Sea (Dino-Path)

The Black Sea’s sturgeon populations, particularly Acipenser gueldenstaedtii, are critically threatened by pollution, overfishing, habitat fragmentation, and climate change, compounded by the lack of a unified, science-based cross-border conservation strategy. The project proposes international, research-driven cooperation using innovative telemetry and digital tools to map sturgeon migrations, build shared scientific capacity, raise awareness, and develop coordinated conservation and management measures for a sustainable Black Sea ecosystem.
