Strengthening Biodiversity Protection Cross Borders

The Black Sea Basin suffers from widespread poaching and illegal fishing, which threaten biodiversity, disrupt ecosystems, and are exacerbated by a lack of coordinated regional action and standardized conservation practices. The project strengthens cross-border cooperation and institutional capacity by developing a best practice guide, conducting joint training and awareness campaigns, and equipping stakeholders to combat illegal activities and promote sustainable biodiversity conservation in the region.
