Sustaining BSB Biodiversity through Traditional Knowledge and Innovation
Traditional ecosystems and biodiversity in the Black Sea basin are declining alongside the loss of traditional ecological knowledge due to industrialization, urbanization, and modern development pressures. The project develops and tests an innovative, Traditional Ecological Knowledge -based approach that integrates traditional and scientific knowledge, empowers local communities, and fosters cross-sectoral cooperation to sustainably conserve biodiversity while generating socio-economic benefits.
