Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Blue Economy Workshop

DG Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) and The Joint Research Centre, in cooperation with DG Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), are organising the Workshop “Smart Specialisation for Sustainable  Blue Economy” on 6 July 2021, at  09.00 – 12.45 CET.

The workshop focuses the support to Smart Specialisation approach in the field of Blue Economy, in the light of the recent adoption of the EC Communication on new approach for a sustainable blue economy in the EU as an essential tool to achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal whilst ensuring a green recovery from the pandemic. This event is the initial step of a broader process that, beyond the event itself, aims to support the development of S3 partnerships in the field of blue economy. Smart specialization and interregional collaboration are in fact an important way to promote innovative investments in the blue economy and related value chains, also in the framework of sea basin and macro regional cooperation.

Training for Beneficiaries from the 2nd Call for proposals

The training sessions are organised by the programme management structures and are aiming to enhance capacity of beneficiaries to collect, consolidate and report the progress achieved by the projects.
